Teen CBS is a ministry of Community Bible Study for high school students, grade 9-12. We are also opening up a college core group for students in college. We meet most Monday nights during the school year from 7:00 - 9:00 in Miller Hall at the Presbyterian Community Church in Palm Desert.
The mission of Community Bible Study is to make disciples of Jesus Christ in our communities through caring, in-depth Bible Study, available to all. It is interdenominational with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and numerous churches.
The Bible Study involves homework to immerse the student daily in God's word. Each student is placed in a small group, called a core Group. It is a shepherding ministry lead by a caring, committed adult to disciple the students. Each meeting begins with a delicious hot meal, followed by a time of praise and worship. There is a short talk about the lesson after which, Core Groups discuss questions and answers about the lesson. Interesting and in-depth discussions occur as students relate God's word to their lives. The Teen CBS lessons are designed specifically for teens. Teens with little or no Bible knowledge as well as experienced teens feel comfortable studying and learning in this environment. Friends are made in a Christian setting.
